Dear Parents and Students from 3rd Grade Dual Immersion Classrooms,

Welcome to school year 2019-2020! I am writing to you in the hopes that we can become partners in your child’s education. I want to make sure we develop a relationship that values openness, support, and communication. The first part of creating a classroom full of successful students is to make sure everyone feels comfortable. Our community will be made up of unique individuals, each with their own learning styles, interests, and needs. We will of course get to know each other over the course of the school year.

My partner teacher and I will be working closely together to ensure that our students excel academically in both English and Chinese languages. We hope to grow, explore, and learn from one another using the amazing technology and resources that our school has to offer. As always, your support and encouragement are greatly appreciated because we are a team!

As we are striving to provide the 21st century education in our classroom, it is imperative that your students take advantage of each of the on-line resources available to them. Our Go Math curriculum (https://www-k6.thinkcentral.com/) and English Language Arts curriculum, Wonders (Connected.mcgraw-hill.com) have many of the on-line resources and extended activities for your students to practice at home so that they can master the concepts. In addition, there are typing exercises (Typing.com). Please monitor your student's progress and time online and be sure that you have safety measures to protect them from inappropriate content and activities in cyberspace.

Thank you so much for your support!
