Computer Science Immersion Program-Code to the Future K-5

Wedgeworth Elementary School offers the computer science immersion program to students in K-5.  It is provided through a partnership with Code to the Future (CTTF), a nationally recognized leader in computer science education.  Our methods integrate both programming and game design, giving students a well-rounded understanding of how to utilize technology to create.  Students will be learning fundamental computer science skills that will make them competitive in the global market while also enhancing 21st century soft skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity.Our school offers the computer science immersion program to students in K-5.  It is provided through a partnership with Code to the Future (CTTF), a nationally recognized leader in computer science education.  Our methods integrate both programming and game design, giving students a well-rounded understanding of how to utilize technology to create.  Students will be learning fundamental computer science skills that will make them competitive in the global market while also enhancing 21st century soft skills such as problem solving, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity.

Attendance

everydaycounts.jpgDaily attendance is important for our students to continue to learn new standards.  Please try to make doctor/dentist appointments after school.  If for any reason your child is absent, please send a note when your child returns or you may contact the office. Our district and school goal is to maintain 98% Average Daily Attendance. 

Dress for Success-Uniform Policy

Our uniform colors are navy blue pants/shorts and white, light blue or dark blue polo shirts.  Students can also wear school colors-cardinal and gold. We also encourage Wedgeworth Spirit shirts. On Thursdays, students may wear College Shirts!!:) Please note: For students on uniform waivers, there cannot be any pictures, words, or any graphic gestures. For detailed information, please refer to the District  Handbook on the Uniform Policy. Thank you all for your cooperation.
